Juliana was born and raised in Brazil, where she completed her studies in dentistry, inspired by her older sister with the intention of pursuing a career in the field in Brazil. She arrived in Hawaii as a professional athlete and ranked windsurfer, where she excelled and was introduced to the rich culture and the mind-body connection that is central to the healing and treatment approaches in Hawaii. Juliana trained in massage and holistic therapies and began practicing them.
At that time, there were very few women in the challenging watersports world, and especially in windsurfing. Juliana found a unique way to make an impact and co-founded the "Butterfly Effect" movement with a friend, aimed at encouraging women worldwide to dare to enter this world. The project made waves in the world of watersports, traveled internationally, and even reached the shores of Eilat.
In Hawaii, Juliana met her Israeli partner, Eyal, a professional and ranked windsurfer as well. Together, they moved to Israel, built a home, and are raising their children, Yam, Bella, and San, in the spirit of the sea and adventure. Just as her work is characterized by variety, balance, and joy, so too in her personal life, Juliana combines her different passions, including spending time with family and friends, yoga, surfing, windsurfing, and even... soccer!

ג'וליאנה נולדה וגדלה בברזיל שם סיימה את לימודיה ברפואת השיניים, בעקבות אחותה הגדולה מתוך מחשבה להשתלב בתחום בברזיל. היא הגיעה להוואי מתוקף היותה ספורטאית מקצועית ומדורגת בתחום גלישת הרוח, שם עשתה חיל ונחשפה לתרבות העשירה ולקשר גוף נפש הנוכח מאוד בגישות הטיפול והריפוי בהוואי. ג׳ויליאנה עברה הכשרות בעיסוי וטיפול הוליסטי והחלה לטפל.
באותם זמנים היו מעט מאוד נשים בספורט ימי אתגרי בכלל ובגלישת רוח בפרט וג׳וליאנה מצאה דרך מיוחדת להשפיע והקימה עם חברה את תנועת ״אפקט הפרפר״ (The Butterfly Effect) שמטרתה לעודד נשים ברחבי העולם להעיז ולהכנס לעולם הזה. הפרויקט עשה גלים בעולם הספורט הימי, הסתובב בעולם ואף הגיע לחופי אילת.
בהוואי הכירה ג׳וליאנה את בן זוגה הישראלי אייל שלף גולש רוח מקצועי ומדורג אף הוא ויחד הגיעו ארצה, הקימו בית והם מגדלים את ים, בלה וסאן ברוח הים והאתגר.
כמו הגיוון, האיזון והשמחה בעבודתה כך גם בחייה הפרטיים משלבת ג'וליאנה את אהבותיה השונות בהם בילוי עם משפחה וחברים, יוגה, גלישת גלים ורוח, ואפילו... כדורגל!!
